The 5th Polish Economic and Technology Forum in Switzerland will be remembered as a landmark event bringing together representatives of government, business, academia, and the technology sector to discuss how Poland and Switzerland can strengthen their position in the global technology race.
This year’s discussions went beyond software and AI, focusing on the foundations of the digital economy: semiconductors, data centers, connectivity infrastructure, space technologies, energy systems, and the green transition. These areas are increasingly seen as the backbone of Europe’s technological sovereignty and economic resilience.
Key topics included Europe’s digital sovereignty, AI and cybersecurity, semiconductor supply chains, energy transition, investment in critical infrastructure, and the evolving global technology competition driven by artificial intelligence.
The Forum also highlighted the strong synergies between Poland’s rapidly growing innovation ecosystem and Switzerland’s established strengths in research, finance, and high-tech industries, demonstrating that cooperation has become one of the key drivers of competitiveness in an increasingly fragmented world.
Parallel workshops showcased practical applications of technology — from AI-driven modernization of legacy systems and cloud infrastructure design to Google-powered AI strategies and cross-border growth through M&A.
The Forum clearly demonstrated that technological sovereignty cannot be built alone — it requires trusted partnerships, resilient supply chains, and shared innovation ecosystems between Poland and Switzerland.
